Cheryl Spann, founder of URevolution, made Panama City, Panama her home after decades of transforming communities across the United States. With dual Master’s degrees in Community Economic Development and Social Work, plus a Business Administration background, Cheryl brings unique insight to the African American relocation experience.
For over 26 years, she championed underserved populations—especially women and children—through strategic community development, policy advocacy, and cultural leadership programs. Her deep understanding of African American cultural needs and community dynamics drove her success in strengthening governmental initiatives and building supportive networks nationwide
Now residing in Panama, Cheryl applies this same community-building expertise to help African Americans navigate their own relocation journey. She understands the cultural considerations, emotional transitions, and practical challenges that come with moving abroad. Through URevolution, she bridges her experience in US community development with on-the-ground knowledge of Panama’s expat landscape.
Cheryl’s gift lies in combining cultural intelligence with real-world solutions—whether she was advocating for domestic violence victims in America or now helping build thriving expat communities in Panama. Her mission remains unchanged: empowering people to create the life and community they deserve.
